New HDD monday!

Well im gonna ring up either tomorrow or monday (or maybe today if it aint too late) and see if i can wheel my computer in to their shop for installation of a new hdd, which is sorely need.

But, i dont know if my mobo can take SATAs (which im told are better than IDEs)

How do i find out this information?

Start > Programs > Accessories > System Files > System Information.

You then go to File > Export in the program. Then you just get the real top part of the .txt file and that's all.

Alternatively, you can Print Screen what you immediately see in ''System Summary''.

if you do what Chris said, it should tell you what motherboard you have, on mine it's on line 11:

System Model P5W DH Deluxe

see what it says for you. then check the mobo specs on the manufacturer's website.
