eek Is this the way our sun will end?

http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/space/0...ova/index.html

Scientists estimate that one star every second goes supernova some where in the universe!!!! Sure hope our dear old sun isn't going to be one of them for quite some time to come!!!!

Regards

I dont mind if it goes supernova. As long as it takes out France first. I would go to the Dutch/French border to watch that particualr armageddon

a star grows over millions of years...

befor a star goes into a super nova it is HUGE compared to our sun ... hold a basketball and tyhen hold a marble next to it .. that's the size diffrence ..

so the whole solar system would be engulfed by the sun befor it even comes close to supernova

I knew that. Its dissappointing. There is still a chance France would burst into flames first though?
