sry i was just sceptical. EA usually make a high quality cinematic rather than in-game footage. the EA and Dice logos can easily be taken from any BF game and stuck in a a video.

i checked gamespot for info and found some screens tho

there was a video on multiplay.co.uk ages ago, it showed abit of ingame stuff, just a robot walking and shooting

suppose its their development videos

i hope they do it through an expansion again, becuase its jsut simply the BF2 engine..

Digital Illusions utvecklar en ny titel i den prisbelönta Battlefieldserien:
Battlefield 2142 för PC. Det efterlängtade spelet planeras att lanseras över
hela världen under hösten 2006. Förläggare är Electronic Arts.

I mitten av oktober 2005 tecknade Digital Illusions avtal om ett PC-spel i
shootergenren som nu namnges. PC-spelet Battlefield 2142 bygger på samma
tekniska plattform som Battlefield 2 och utvecklas på bolagets Stockholmskontor.
Spelet är en fristående produkt och baseras på Digital Illusions eget varumärke.

- Battlefield har länge varit synonymt med innovativ och förstklassig
multiplayeraction. Nu tar vi klivet in i framtiden, säger Marcus Nilsson, senior
producer på Digital Illusions.

Handlingen i den nya produkten utspelar sig i framtiden. I Battlefield 2142
tvingas spelarna att välja mellan två militära supermakter i det avgörande
slaget för överlevnad. År 2142 har en ny istid förlamat stora delar av jorden
och världsmakterna samlar sina krafter. Upp till 64 spelare kan möta varandra i
två lag. Med spelarens framgång följer befordran och belöningar i form av nya
vapen, medaljer och mycket mer.

Electronic Arts förlägger och distribuerar Battlefield 2142. Lanseringen är
planerad till hösten 2006.

EDIT: Wasnt at their site yet. I did however see that EA is buying DICE and will now be part of EA Holding, I hope DICE even if its part of EA will stay in Sweden or there will be alot of men and women losing thier job, and EA will lose good knowlage, hope they arnt stupid!

The share holders in DICE will be happy though as the buy out will grant 30% extra in payouts to all owning stocks in DICE AB

Ja, the mechs look awsome If I get that game id spend most my time just walking around blowing stuff up in em.

I hope it can run on a 64MB graphics card.
I liked Mech Warrior 4 a lot when I was young so if this has something to do with mechs, then awesome!

I doubt that it will run on a 64mb Gfx card even though i have had bf2 playing on a mx400 64mb (stupid laptop)
