Post opening router ports??

Found this post about when someone tries to join a df1 game they can go all the way to the games lobby where the games are displayed, but can't connect to any games. When they try to connect the screen goes black. Well I am having the same problem. One of the guys suggested this

Quote:
When I tried to connect to novalogic server to play df1 I had a black screen after chossing the server to play in.

I have a router and tried without the router and It work perfectly, so I new that it was the router and NOT the game. So the game version is good v1.00.03.03P.

Also has "sog.daddy" was saying in a ealier thread by modifiying the router to open the two ports:

3568 and 3569

it works great!!
Now my question is how do you open ports on your connection?

Your router should have a log in screen/configuration page.
Look in your instructions manual how to get their and once your logged into it goto the virtual server page.

Now u must enter in th ip addy of the pc/net card u r using (u can find this out by clicking on START>RUN>type in WINIPCFG and look for you ip address only !

Once u have entered in your full ip address then u must enter in next to it the port u wish to open, which is 3568

click on ok or save and it should work, if it doesn't then post back here and we'll try something else.

You know what I don't have a router according to my modem. It is a zyxel Prestige 645 Series Multi-Mode ADSL Bridge/Router. There are 2 models

Models
- Prestige 645R: Multi-Mode Router
- Prestige 645M: Multi-Mode Bridge <--- I have this one
