Simple Squad Site v1.0b. Still in it's beta stage the first test script has gone live. What is Simple Squad Site? Simple Squad Site is a automated php script to help you run your squad site. Whats so good about it? There is NO uploading files, NO knowing html and updaing the site goes from minutes or hours to seconds! This very simple script is capable of runing everything that a squad site would need. From automated rosters to match records. Simple squad site was coded by myself, for squads to use. It's great when you don't have a webmaster that knows how to build a site, or your just to lazy and don't want to keep updating it the old fashin way! This script will stay live on the dfhq server for a few days for bug reports and live testing. Feel free to give it a test run, go here: http://www.dfhq.net/simple/index.php?style=default. Styles come with the program, or you can make your own. The styles that are there are the ones that come with the script so far, more are being made. Feel free to mess around and try to break somthing. Add yourself to the roster also .

They layout is the only thing the same as the *f site. I used that because it is easy and clean. The colors are not the same.

Is it going to have an install script?

Since not many people know how to operate and create a MySQL database there might be a lot of problems so there is some knowledge involved in it.

I suggest something like OxyNews did, they did a version of oxy news that you could sign up for on their site.

Would be a good idea if you had a signup form which automatically installed the scripts into a directory and the user could either link their site to your server and use the pages or include say roster.php.
So its a bit like NovaArena or Gaming-HQ or whatever they have now decided to call it.
They used to/still do/dunno have a roster/record script which signed up squads could link to.

Something like that would be a good idea too.

I wouldnt do the automatic install of the script, far to many people abuse that. If we did host squads would have to request it just like our squad forums and if it isn't used within a few days it's deleted without warning. But I am still thinking about this.

And yes there is a simple install script that you run from your browser.

Nice stuff indeed. I was going to fix up *AUS*'s automated site and release that, but couldn't be stuffed to be honest, lol.

We have a members area too, so maybe that's something which could be added.
