Yippie!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The contact us link at the bottom of novaworld2 works.

I contacted them about my account being restricted - I couldn't change my name or sign into novaworld1 because they had banned me for posting pinger info.

I used their contact us link and explained the situation and asked if my restrictions could be reversed.

Took about 3 hours and I got this response:

"The watch has been removed from your character. You may still be banned from novaworld1, but that's being phased out and replaced with www.novaworld2.com"

Now to mind my p's and q's

Other than some people probably having pirated copies, why would people want to use Pinger instead of logging in?

I'm assuming it's so they can use hexxed names, and so they can join public servers quicker?

Cool

Pinger is best if you don't play on nova servers. You can filter out the servers you will never use and it also enables you to check out what maps are actually being played in real time, and who is playing in the server!
I have every genuine df game except df2. Why should I bother playing on nova servers when the clans police their own games better?

As commie said, it gives more flexibility - I use it for the favorites list. Honestly don't care if my name is hexed or not though that is a nice feature. But being able to have a list of my favorite servers so I don't have to constantly search for them is the primary reason why I use it.

Also if you are hosting a server your self on a second computer, pinger is the only way you can connect to it - so it is useful for map testing

I used to like using pinger for BHD. Came in very handy.

Ah okay.

NW2's shaping up real good at the moment. New features added every now and then.

As some of you probably know they added the 7 bucks thing to change your name, and also added the name change log to everyone's profiles - every name you used on your account will show in your profile. When I mean every name, I honestly mean every name (even ones you've only used for a minute).

Nova is making a big comeback.
