a little problem ...

Ok .. look at this image .. it's in HL2 EP2



the same thing happens for any valve games .. if it goes on in other games i don't know because i do not have them installed

the thing is all these games worked fine prior to me formating my drive .. i've updated my video drivers .. .net framework ... direct x .. still does it

the gameplay is flawless .. its just those dots are so damn annoying .. i can't see anything ... and yes i did try turning down the ingame graphics .. that didn't do anything either

i have an ati 9800 XT and running windows XP pro ..

any ideas?

that drive has got to be close to five years old.
