New TV...

So i just bought a new tv that i was planning on using for my computer aswell. Its a Hitachi 22" LCD, and im having trouble finding a good resolution.

I tried the hdmi port, but the only one that was fitting the screen, was 1280x720, but it made everything look huge.

So i tried the vga port, and a few of them fit the screen, but they're being stretched horizontally, so text is a bit blurry.

Anyone have any experience/advice?

Do you know the model number? I bet it's a 720p TV which 1280x720 is the max resolution that a 720p TV can output...

According to the manual, the max res is 1680x1050, but any resolution higher than 1280x768 i cant have a higher refresh rate than 30hertz

According to the Nvidia CPanel, the native resolution of the TV is 1920x1080, but when i try to switch to that, the TV tells me its out of range =/

I'll say thats just how your TV rolls. My brother bought a little LCD tv and uses it as a moniter and he's having the same problem you are, only he's using component cables. The highest his VGA goes is 1280x1024, where the component cables Can go up to 1920x1080, itll just stretch off screen. so he settles it at a nice 13##Xsome fancy schmancy number. idk
