i read some place that youtube.com will be turning off sound to video's! do to some are using sound track from copy right music in their video they made up!

do to this now youtube.com will be turning off all sound from all users video they may have made, do to law suits i think!

video will still play but without any sound to them!

some are saying this will be the big killer to youtube.com

so don't be shock if you go to youtube.com and find your video no longer have sounds be playing

i read this and lost were the page was on in the internet, could be CNN.com or some other. but youtube.com will be cutting off sound to video's soon

This won't happen. Youtube won't allow it to happen. They know that if they were to mute all videos, homemade or not, it would kill them. I can't see this happening, ever.

Don't know what your reading william, but that is not what I read. They aren't cutting sound on movies, yet.


Youtube has a policy where if you post a music video with copywritten music, and the copyright holder contacts youtube over it, you are given the option to either mute the music, or replace it with a pre-cleared song.


The article did say though that if youtube couldn't come to some kind of agreement that it could bring in a new era of silent film...


So thanks alot to those youtube users using copywriten material in your movies... ruining it for the rest of us, as usual.

i was flipping throw news sites and came across that and read about 1/3 of the page it change on me to a new page, i try to use browser history but some reason it was not listed

there a lot of family use it to post home movie clips to other and showoff to the world. but some i think kids don't think and think its cool to add-in music from a rock group to the video clip thinking its cool to do!

not all kids but i seen others like 12-27 ranges

all i got to say if you like to use a music track in a video clip send it by e-mail to other, but don't post it up youtube its i think is call pirate music adding it into a video clip and cross the line

It will not happen simply because youtube has become to important to industry to allow it.

If that were the case they would have to cut 90% of the video clips on there that users have submitted.

Youtube is going to be around for a while, I do believe that they are trying to censor their videos and comments and that has some people rather pissed off. TBH I don't bother reading the comments because only idiots ever make them
