Got new sound card and now some sound doesnt work on BHD

Ok boys here's my problem...I just got a used sound card today because i bought a 5.1 creative speaker system and the old sound card i had was only a 4ch and i needed a 6ch...but anyways i got the sound card and speakers hooked up and there workin fine....but i went to play BHD and some sound in the game would not work.....So i wanna Re-install the game but i dont wanna have to beat the game all over again....I woundering what file holds my progress in the game so i can copy that file and just put that file in after i do the install....that way after i install i can still play all the missions i passed...any help will be greatly appreciated.....Thanks

the file you're looking for should be "dfplyrs.sav" (or similar)
but i don't think reinstalling is going to help...

are your settings set to 5.1? check controlpanel->sounds->speaker settings

when u uninstall you will get an option to not delete your saved games, or the game will be uninstalled but it will leave your bhd folder with the saved game file.

dfvplr.sav thats the player save file if you have a program thats save files as they change any you can look it up and restore it

there are programs as in: Goback by Norton (they taken it over) and there is autosave by v-com.com that save files and can restore the system all so.
