flame wars?

I was just reading the forum rules and it says flame wars will not be tolerated.What are flame wars?

slaggin people off like calling them n00bs or swearing at them, but a flame war means it happens all the time

when this happens you have flame war almost like taking a shot at the other guy and they start to fights with bad wording to each other it get to a point it hate full posting. mostly it happens when some one get tick-off at another party. they start to posts up messages in the forum telling each other off. this is were you get a flame wars or telling other off in a hate full ways.

As a codicil to my last post I may add the RULES seem to be rather like Animal Farm: All members are equal except where the administrators say different.

Political debate is some thing you should not allow on these forums as with sex and relegion they can extremely emotive.

Thank you for those kind words bro, unfortunatley I've come across this kind of thing before on Nova Hq and it has nothing to do with you and I my friend.

I am extremely angry with the hypocritical attitude taken by Steve towards my post in the bush versus kerry thread. There are very often offensive posts on these boards, depending on one person or anothers point of view, but to single me out for an attack is grossly unfair of Steve but I don't expect any apology for this attack, that would require good manners.

I think it was a case of mis-communication and my political beliefs don't come into it bro.

I'm a strong believer in democracy and all shades of opinon should be heard even if we disagree with them, of course this does not mean that personel attacks on a person should be tolerated just because of what they believe.

As I've said politics can be very controversial and some times we all get carried away by them.
