Site management systems

Hey all.
I'm looking for a PHP portal system like PHPnuke, but is easy to customize and skin. I've heard that PHPnuke is very easy to hack Features I would like;
- To be able to have archives of articles & reviews
- To be able to add my own scripts
- To be able to create my own themes easily
- A powerful and safe admin panel

So far I've looked at;
phpclanwebsite (although the site isnt for gaming), mambo (looks to hard to skin). I've also thought about coding my own, but I feel it may take to long.

So does anyone know of any decent free portals like this? Or do you think I'm better off with PHPnuke?
[edit]
If not, I cant find any tutorials or guidelines on building a management system, anyone found one before?
-Stu

I've seen some sites working with it. Haven't tried it myself but let me know how it is.

Forget php nuke, look at something like Dragonfly CMS
http://dragonflycms.org/

It has the same features as nuke but more secure and better.
You can easly add modules or blocks and themes are quite easy to do if you know a little html.

there is also php-nuke platinum, nuke-evolution... both of which have had security enhancments and other mod added.

Platinum is basically php-nuke with dozens of mods added and security issues addressed.
