Software to grab pics off of home videos

Anyone know any good ones?

If the video is in your harddrive already. you can use windows movie maker.

Just open the file, select the frame, and go to tools>take picture from preview.

Movie maker comes on most PC's

Problem is that Movie Maker won't open *.VOB file.

So you are trying to take a screenshot of a dvd movie?

Maybe a search for VOB tools?

I just use MovieStar to capture from an analog or digital source, and then use the frame grab in Premiere

Yeah ... I recorded some home videos with DVD cam and it saved the files in VOB extension. Now it none of regular programs help ... Google here i come.

can't say if it a trial version or a demo it only says lic is free. in review no one says it had any adware to it at all, seem to be good to use.

PowerDVD is good, not a freebie at all, you get it play a DVD as you see what you like to Take a Screenshot of what is on your screen Press C-key.
