Teamspeak pain the the ass

I’ve suffered (or rather my team mates have) from problems with communicating over teamspeak whilst there’s background noise, ie. Gunfire, vehicle noises, etc.
Initially I thought it was my headset not cancelling out the headphone noise from the mic, so I bought a new headset…
The problem is still there !
Both headsets have been of reasonable quality so the next thing to look at might be my sound card…….But I’m running a soundblaster Audigy player (the original version not 2) & I’m sure other people must be using this card without probs.

It’s so bad that in J Ops demo I don’t even bother speaking if I’m in a chopper cos it’s a waste of time.

I need to sort this out, any suggestions guys? Please.

El.

well first off, TS has always done that. No matter what game. You always hear the background noise of you or some1 around u firing their weapon. Same goes with any other Voice communication program.

teammates may have it to set Voice active bad move. you hear to much.

will rogerwilco done fine with me all the time you can set it by what key you like to key up on or voice active.

sorry i was never a great love of team-speak try it many time and

but Rogerwilco on the other hand i love it a lot, and a lot of squads use it a lot, only drawback i have to say going to desktop from BHD/TS or any of NL-Games to kick someone out of it, other then that one has to get use to type in the IP## to the server and join in thats it. my Mic-up key is the key-pad 0 i set it to. but you can set it to any you like. sound good to me.

i use TS and dont get that problem as bad as you say, i hear the voice great and very very little background noise, TS is easy to use, set up a server, hand out the IP, set talk to chat or a button and thats it. Its the same concept as RW but better, channels, admins, channel admins, what ever ya want

I agree, BUT........I still get the problem with background noise & need to solve it......

over time i must have had around 40 different players in my squad TS server but no1 seems to get this prob as bad as me, & with JO it's worse cos of all the vehicles you can be in

I'm gonna try using my headset but using an external mic instead of the headset one, see whether that improves matters

Hi all,

If you are hearing in-game sounds while you are using Teamspeak, then your windows recording settings are not properly configured.

To fix this, open the "Volume Control" program and go to:
"Options"->"Properties"

Click the "Recording" option.

Make sure all the check-boxes are checked, then hit "OK".

You should now see the volume controls for your recording devices instead of the default display which shows volume controls for playback devices.

Now you have check-boxes underneath each of the volume sliders. Uncheck all of the boxes except for "Microphone".

Most SB soundcards have a recording option called "What U Hear" while others may have something called "All" and most soundcards also have a "Wave" recording device. When these are selected, the game sounds are being picked up by Teamspeak. If you only have the microphone selected, then all other inputs are muted and only your voice will be picked up by Teamspeak and other sound-recording programs.

I felt the same way. I use speakers. So the sound was too much.

But as SFR-LiquidFX said. You can adjust your audio in the games settings. Just lower the sound effects, and you'll be good.

Hope this helps yah.
