DFBHD - Multiplayer Issues

I am trying to set up a LAN game only and have 4 pcs loaded with DFBHD and can only get two players to join and others cannot even find the game even though they are on the network. At one point I had three get in the lobby but it immediately punted them out after about 5 seconds. Any thoughts on how to resolve this? Brother-in-laws all want to come over and relive our old times playing this game for years. Also want my kids to experience this game. Any help is greatly appreciated.
