#1 Citygroup (yes)
#2 Credit Agricole Groupe (no)
#3 HSBC (no)
#4 Bank of America (yes)

no-never heard of them
yes-have heard about them all the time.

world bank yes but they are most part only for countrys to get loan from i think? never heard anyone buying stocks or having a bank account with them as is in a personal checking or saving account.

a family member was asking me; who is the biggest banker around the world? thats why i made this thread i don't know the asking to this one.

they have this ID its going to be a big time bank that will roll over soon and it cover a large area of the world a very big large bank when it goes it will crash the stock market

I can't comment on HSBC, but I agree 100% about Citi. They're worse than an ex trying to get extra child support to cover the Corvette payment

In terms of consolidated assets, the biggest at Dec 31 2004 is (in millions of dollars)

JP Morgan Chase and Co ->628,662
Bank of America ->617,962
Citigroup ->582,123

Source on this is the Federal Reserve System

But on the same logic, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc is the worlds largest bank with 1.6 trillion in assets.

I really have no idea but I presume it would be an American bank as it has the most powerful economy in the world?
