Respawn armour

Very inconsistant lately IMO, anyone else noticed a difference or does change from server to server?
Also, is the respawn armour applied at the very start of a game? Because this morning a game started with several opponents in front of me, maybe 20 yards/metres away and you guest it, not bloody one of them died when shot at point blank range. I got knifed BTW. So, does respawn armour apply at start and can it be manipulated? It's the one thing that really pishes me off but without it I suppose the snipers would have a feild day. Anythoughts on this?
One more rant, when one is playing as a medic and you look at the big map, you can't tell what direction your facing unlike when your playing as a gunner/sniper because the gun barrel sticks out, it would be nice to have a little something to indicate your front, any thoughts?

sapwn armor time varies i believe, from 0 to 6 secds or around that time.

if u attack / shoot / swing knife then u instantly lose ur armor.

not 100% sure on this, but i think swinging the knife does NOT cancel the armor

in previous games it lost ur armor.

i also thought that if yo shoot b4 you spawn armory goes down 6-8 sec that you spawn will go away the sec that u shoot

I'm glad someone mentioned this as I've noticed quite a variation in the amount of time spawn armour seems to last. It may only be a few seconds but it's the difference between you getting taken out or getting the other guy!

If u're playin in a tkoth game, & u died in the zone & managed to get "fixed" by your med buddies.... then the best weapon to use while you have your spawn armour on is your knife..... really!!! I managed to knife 5 people at one go in the enemy infested zone. I just laid low & pretended that i'm still dead. So... when I see that there are loads of the enemies beside my supposed dead body, I just wake up and slice em gooooooood! Love that trick dude! LOL
