Update seems to loop and not update

Answer:

You must update your game from an account with write access to the game folder. You should try updating from the computer's admin account.

You can also manually replace the update program with the latest located here. Save http://files.novalogic.com/DFX2/update.exe to c:\program files\NovaLogic\Delta Force Xtreme 2\

If you wish to do a full manual update of the game, download the latest installer and "repair" your install to the latest version. The latest full installer is located here (note: the download can take awhile)

After downloading, just run the program and select "repair" the installation. Or Install for a new installation. This will bring you to the latest version

If you use a download manager you can download in parts

Start downloading, with a single file the manager will set the max speed automatically. It won't take days at all trust me, even at 56KBs - 64KBs it will only take 5-6 hours

As a precaution You must maintain the connection to the Nova FTP server during the download sorry, I think the Nova server itself does-not support resuming, all the manager can do in that case is pause to a trickle to maintain the connection, so go for it full power for a few hours to get the game, there is no other way.SRY

To save some power during this download darken or turn off your PC screen.

If you turn your screen brightness down during normal use you can save a lot % of power if you use a CRT screen and some % of power if you use LCD etc...

Please note that when you download a certain content via HTTP, if there is a lost package of data, the server will end the whole process. Thus, please use a Downloading manager because they split the file into smaller chunks and then start downloading them. Even if the connection breaks. this will not affect the whole file.

firefox has a build in download manager inside it, you can use
but be warn you lose the internet connection you have to restart the download anew with some sites

firefox has no adware or spyware to it!

some download managers let other leech off the file without going to the site to copy and pass to share with others, a lot of url site blackball download manager on a listing of theirs. personally i don't just any download managers at all, shareware and come with adware/ spyware to them as will.
