Mature: maping tips

When i make maps for dfx2 i try to
make them as realistic as posible.
you may have noticed that i some of my
maps Fog is in the air not on the ground
this gives the map a more 3d feel as they
appear to be clouds and if you are flying a heli'
you appear to fly thru the cloud,the same with
the heli's flown by the AI...hiding a oil tank
inside a building that appears to be on fire or i.e.
several of them then i set up events to destroy
them periodically and the burning building appears
to explode and the AI go sailing like the A-Team...
a torch fire in the water on a lilly pad appears like
swamp gas...moths in a dumpster simulate flies...
stick a monitor in the dumpster and set an event to
kill the monitor makes it look like it belongs there...
stick a bush in front of the land mine warning sign
and the careless solder goes awwsheet cause at the
last moment he sees that he just stepped into it
and Boom...a good solder must always be aware of
his environment or he i a dead solder....some times
i get mappers block then all of a sudden an idea
pops into my head for a map theme or map name
then i start thinking about how do i make the map
around the new theme or idea...the original name for
" Hill 452 " was " Sheet Fire and do me running "
only not with those words and at the last moment
while prepping the maps for release a better name
popped into my head that was a bit more " G " rated
and named after my favorite Billionaire...
