graw had potential, but ultimately it destroyed the Ghost Recon series of games completely. (IMHO)

Um... me?

If ive had a ****ty day, then i like to sit back and shoot at someone on Call of duty.

If i see a new, groundbreaking game, then i want to play it to see the features.

And seeing as i want to go into game design... i think i 'need' to play games to understand what makes a good or bad game.

Don't start down the path of slating how much i enjoy playing games, because ive had to defend it many times, so ive got plenty of practice ;P

I'm not slating you mate. Just amused at your choice of phrasery.
If you really do want to get into Game Design you NEEEEED to play GRAW. If it's not your thing you need to identify why surely?

Too many bad games made because designers went all out trying to make a good one without identifying first what made a bad one.

I state Doom 3 as an example.

All about making it atmospheric and graphically sexy and ooooozing class. But essentially one long walk from one side of a bendy corridor to another.

All concentration on great, no real feel for bad.

YOU need both.
I don't wanna play some pap and find out it was you what did it cos you never played GRAW.

I got a big box full of smacked bottoms for kakka like that.
