SD card problem

Guys i know this is not my problem but my mother recently bought a 512 gb sd card for her phone but i dont know if it dupport that capacity...the sd card will reperesent as a replacement for her 16 gb sd then that sd will serve as a replacement for my 4 gb sd (lol)but the sd seems to not work, i tried formating it but did not work also chkdsk did also not work (damn it)what kind i do now?

See if it works in your computer, then you'll know if the phone does not support that size. It probably won't

read the documentation that came with the phone or look it up online. should say in owners/operators manual if it would support it or not..

Scott... i did that. The computer and the laptop does not read the sd card
