what to you mean by power switch? the On button on the front of the computer? or the ON/OFF flip switch on the back? that would be the Power supply on the back.

If you ordered a prebuilt computer that is still under warranty with HP, you can probably have the button replaced for next to nothing.

the part that is broken is not the front cover, but if you take it off the part that you would push in to turn the computer is broke, so i would need a whole new on/off button guess would be the best way to say it.

and i think this is the model #: PX769AA-ABA a1130n

and if i could find my camera i would take a picture of it but i have no clue where it is at

I think under the C of Clean Up Your Room. :P

If you dont mind doing some DIY you can make a new switch yourself, just get the parts ( well, just the switch and maybe a little cable ) at your local electronics store.

is it a new computer under warranty? with HP

you maybe able to call them and order a new power "off & on switch" from them for your tower! or get the part number to lookup online to buy from others. i say give them a call at less they should be able give a part number to the power switch to you.

9 out of 10 they send it to you free without any charges for the power switch or shipping charge if they still have that item in stock.
