Serving and playing problem

I've got a question to ask. i belive i have come to the rite place where there are some very knolageable people in here that might be able to help me with this. im trying to serve on my main pc and play on my 2nd pc (serving on nova) when i serve the game then go to the 2nd pc i search for the game im serving. and i see the game.i try to play on the server im running. and it tells me i cant connect. i do have a router. this is where your knolage comes in. i do know a little about configing the router but do i have to change some settings in here to make this work if any one knows could u please help me with this issue im running 1.5meg cbl and running through a 4 port router thanks .....killerbud99

Have you disabled your firewall I know some ppl that were having that sort of problem and disabling there firewall helped out!

The firewall inside the router is the one im talkin about also if all else fails you could always uninstall and reinstall.......R U logging into NOVA with both of your PC's? The could also be a problem????

get the bhd ip joiner, then connect to th enetworked comps's ip, thats how i join for my other games i host on my server works great... ip should be (ona n etowrk) similar to 192.168.2.XXX or 192.168.1.XXX

ok i have downloaded the ip joiner and opened udp port on the router 17479 then i join by ip then gives me a bad nova key i also have a global port i can change any other answers

translate your other computers network ip to a NK or w/e it asks in the pinger, then put that in, for me its 192.168.2.21 ... i can type that in when i play battle field and it lets me join, or on df2 as well..
