phMapDB question

Everytime i go to install the phMapDB i get this error:
"Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client"

I just set up a mysql database and server, whats the problem????

those instructions are really confusing, ill be honest i know nothing about php, tried the instructions, but still getting same error.

That has to do with your php and mysql version being incompatible. Do you run any other scripts on the server?

No im not running any other scripts, ive made a database and a server, what could the problem be?

try running

SET PASSWORD FOR user@localhost = OLD_PASSWORD('password');
