"Sony's finally come out with some good news for the UK: First party Playstation 3 titles will sell for EUR 59.99 / GBP 39.99 at launch, or GBP 10 less than Xbox 360 games, Games Industry reports.

Launch titles will include Motorstorm, Resistance: Fall of Man, Genji, Ridge Racer 7 and Formula One Championship Edition. The games will sell for AUD 99.95 and NZD 109.95, so not such good news for Luke, I think.

Fahey points out that while the suggested retail price for 360 games may be 49.99 pounds, some retailers sell them at the 39.99 price point anyway. This, of course, could also happen with PS3 titles, since we're only taking retail suggested.

Downloadable content will start at EUR 0.99."


i'm thinking 2 things, 1 it's not going to be true, or 2 xbox will drop their prices. will see i guess.


just out of interest, how do the game prices compaire in the US?

The 360 itself is set to drop for Christmas. The PS3 games didn't drop in the states...even if they did it wouldn't improve their sales hehe.

360 seems to keep dropping over here ever so slightly, the core pack can now be had for £150. you could say it was to compete with the Wii, but i really don't think they can be compaired, and i dont think one is bought in preference to the other. probably they are just making sure everyone has a 360 before the PS3 launch, just incase there is a few stragglers undecided on their console.

saw a Wii in the flesh for the first time the other day, i was suprised it was so small. they are planning on releasing different colours do you know? a black Wii would look sweet.

They already have in Japan.

The Wii is going to be shortlived. There is no way it will compete in the long run. It wears out so fast.

i get my games for £20 region free from asia, doesnt bother me unless customs finds em
