Delta Force: Xtreme 2

Quite a while ago we found out that a DFX2 was on pre-order on a site. After I had emailed the website, they had said that DFX2 was indeed a complete new title.

Now today, supersixfour from delta-force.info, sent me a PM:

http://www.delta-force.info/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=98

FROM: The Kyle -> SuperSixFour (DFI)

SUBJECTS: Re: DFX-2 Release/Information Desk

Delta Force Xtreme2 will not be based on the Delta Force 2 levels. It will include entirely new terrains but the play will be much closer to the classic Delta Force games, Land Warrior, and BHD, than the first Xtreme. Due to the large number of terrains and assets it will ship on a DVD. Official screen shots should be released soon. There's no firm release date yet as we are still coordinating with our EU distributor, but it looks likely the EU release will be very close to the US release date.
This is from The Kyle, one of the very kind staff members on NovaWorld 2.

Release date? 9th of February.

or it could be a 'game to play in the meantime' just to entice newer players to wait for DF:AF

can't see it effecting DFAF sales unless dfx2 was good, then it would boost the sales of DFAF i would imagine.

looking forward to the release anyway

i certainly hope Navarre is better than the last distribution company!

did any one notice on the seller page?

Carton Qty: 12

to me thats says they sell it by the case 12 units in it

still no then from novalogic, inc about this

fair warning till novalogic, inc talk about this i would not order it or post it in NW or NW2

best if you feel the need to ask them PM them about it!

they are funny when asking them things they cheer you on for it or off the back ban you.

anyways i PM one of the admin there in NW2 about it

Kyle is ok but i like to hear it from others there, maybe they can tell us more about it in details

yea remember the socall DFBHD update and it turn out tobe a release of DFBHD for PS3, Xbox some update that was

funny all these odd news release are coming from other site & no then NW, NW2 or Novalogic.com

Funny there's no announcements yet.

I wouldn't worry about that carton quantity thing.

And I believe staff members on NW2 for one thing. Most of the info we've got on DFAF was from staff members.

However, I haven't seen Kyle post this himself. I just got a PM from SS4 and that was it. I believe him though. He probably got it through a PM, which is why I can't find it on the forums.

This is from last month but it could also mean that its just a name change to DF:AF.

I came accross this its probably already posted though I havent been around for a very long while..lol

"Novalogic ends MTR license deal
Novalogic, the developer behind the Delta Force series, has released a statement cutting its ties with MTR Soft, the Prague, Czech Republic-based company that had previously licensed the franchise's European rights.

According to Novalogic, MTR has failed to pay any royalties from the deal, despite apparently raising cash on the back of the brand.

"MTR never paid us a penny, while we have heard that they collected money from at least one sub licensee," said Lee Milligan, president of NovaLogic.

"We are very concerned that MTR may still be trying to use our license agreement to obtain additional funds. We ask anyone who has been offered rights to Delta Force: Angel Falls by MTR Soft to please contact us immediately."

lol I am looking forward to DFX 2 and DF:AF Its funny how the same fun factor isnt there as it was in DF2 with the others, But I suppose the gaming side was still relitivley new back then and seemed more of a laugh.

it used to be good laying in wait for some poor fool come close to a building I set a cam and a sachel charge in..lol

I just hope these 2 can stoke the fires once more!

Haha, nice cam thingy.

I never really used the video camera in DF2. Now that you mention it, there would've been some wicked things that you'd be able to do with it (e.g. monitoring the entrance in TKOTH, etc.).

I still have the game, and I installed it a few days ago. Still can't stand the screen lag on it (I can always play it on 640 res or lower though ).

I can see considering LW a classic...midway through the series...even though it looked terrible...but BHD? That was at the end of the DF line up.

2 new games !?

After years of inactivity from Novalogic we are now to get 2 new games in a few months Xtreme 2 and DF:AF ???
Am I right or am I dreaming???

The community was dying a year ago, now to say things are looking up is an understatement!
I started with DF1 have played other games eg Wolfenstein, Call of Duty and lately Warhead (dont waste your money) but none of them are anything like the fun of LW and BHD, the insults just aren't as funny...

Anyways keep the faith HQ as new disciples(targets) will be arriving shortly!
See on on the battlefield...

no doubt DF-X2 will be like JO:E, overpriced and not enough content, in other words, a game to bring in some cash for future projects..

i dont see how nova can produce 2 games that are both worth a decent pricetag / play time in so little time... at the same time ..
