eek way too many uploads

I think DFHQ should have a limit to how many maps a person can upload I upload my maps (12/6/2003) and(12/9/2003) and before that (11/23/2003) enough time between maps; but I just saw 16 maps from 1 person the same day(12/18/2003) is not fair for the rest of mapmakers out there.

Why is that not fair? We aren't going to limit th maps that are uploaded. Some people have a collection of maps, and want to get them all uploaded the same time. I'm sure he wouldn't have liked to span it out over a couple days.

I guess u'r not a mapmaker is not fair for the reason that u make a map u upload the map and found out that the map is allready gone from the 1st page in 1 day because of a person that decided to wait who know how many weeks or months (the same time that most mapmakers works building their maps) and upload all his work in 1 day taking away the opportunity of the other mapmaker uploading the same day to see his/her map on the first page for a least a few days.

you will find most ppl will search by rank and the gametype they like, and not by latest uploaded.

those gamers who download new maps everyday will search by newest maps. and will no doubt get all the ones since they last visited.

I used to be a mapmaker, and to me there is nothing unfair about posting 15+ maps on a site at one time. To me, that's all the better for the people downloading. Because they can get more maps right away, instead of uploading a limited ammount a day.

And becides that point, most people don't want to upload a limit a day, you are the first person I have ever herd this from. Then they would have to span there map colection of 30 maps (example) over like a week, i wouldn't submit maps to a site that did that because it would be annoying.

The only thing I think your upsetabout is the newest maps page. That is what it sais, the <b>15</b> newest maps. You can also get the newest maps by looking in the database.

urayoan if you look at the map database cafefully you will notice the following features

Look for Order Maps by: the last drop down box you can select from. It will have the following selections for you to choose from.

Order Maps by:Default, Newest, Map Name, Map Rating, Map Author, Downloads

So you as a viewer have a choice of how you would like the maps to be displayed for your viewing, insted of dfhq.net setting it for you. Makes it more convenient for the viewers
