Hi Guys,
How is it going. I dropped in to see if any of you guys could help me with a bad problem. I no sooner get all set up to play TFD, I get this : sysdump. message. And then crash. I am using < WinXp Pro, Ati 9000, Graphics, 512 DDr Ram, plus large HD.
I would appreciate any advice I can get, thank you.

i get sysdump's frequently on water maps. (crappy vid card)

You should try updating your vid card drivers

That was one of the things I already tried. Maybe, just maybe, it is my MB MSI K7N2 Delta, with Nvidia, that does not compat with the Rad 9000 Ati card. I will drop Ati a line and ask them.

a map can do it to if it has extra in it.

sample you downloaded a map, but it has a extra type of terrain in it, and you don't have that type of terrain instill can give you system dump also.

if you can post a copy of that water map here we can check it out for you and i for one can tell you what type of terrain it has you can look up in your map editor see if you have it or not.

I downloaded a couple of the things you suggested. Im afraid , I am not into the maps part of the game, and therefore am not able to give u much info on that. Great, I can prob build a pc , but cannot do maps.lol.

chief its due to crappy vid card i get sysdumps after a water map. It is the stock terrains too

You really don't know what I getting at do you.
Has no then really to do with the terrain.

The unlock map editor give all items to use more then it should have some items will not work at all and give you a system dump. With the terrain you get height and other error but with extra items you only get a system dump next time you get the system dump bet try this (don't press OK option on it system dump) press the Ctri & D being up a list of the error in detail. And says what gave this error in system dump.

All so have the Game ever work for you;

1.) If not: then upgrade your Comp you may need more Ram or an outstanding V-Card.
2.) If it did work good for you: ok then there is something not working right you need to run a thru-scan disk. If you have a large Hard Drive it will take some time to scan and if the scandisk lockup on you do it in self-mode. (if you using windows).

I have Norton System works when I get that some time’s I run it to scan my Pc it dose all.

You also can do a scanreg /fix go to “ Start ” then Press “ Run…” type in “ scanreg /fix ” have to have a *1-space between reg*/fix for it to work. Then it will ask you to restart to fix any error it finds. If it dose not find any error it will tell you no then to repair is needed.

P.s if none of these things work then shutdown you Pc open it up look at your Hard drive take it out in center of it (the motor) see if you see any burnt connections if you do see it blacken or fry your hard drive need replacing.

By the way talk about Crappy V-Card i am using a Ge Force 2 its the low end of V-Cards got it back in Feb,2000 DF: TFD works great with it. but then again DF: BHD sucks with it have to upgrade it so i do know what you mean.
