Unlike some other parts of your body, "they say" that your lungs can do some self-rapair and any time you quit smoking, it's for the better. Right now it sounds like you're replacing the habit of putting the ciggy in your mouth with the habit of putting food in your mouth. I used to fake smoking (during the quitting fight) with deep inhalation (like after drawing on a smoke), after a fake draw. Sounds stupid, I know, but in this fight to quit, every little thing that helps is good. Do it when no one is looking.

I quit twice. The first time was for 3 years and I foolishly decided to have "one" smoke. Bingo, another five years down the drain. The second time I quit, I also went on a diet. I vowed to lose 20 pounds and quit smoking. I ate a ton of chicken (and still do), got into lifting weights and riding my bicycle. Now I'm smoke free for 20 years.

Whatever you do, don't give up, and start thinking about losing weight. Being fat is almost as bad as smoking. Right now it's just a new habit you're developing - pounding down the food. Break that one too and you're home free.
Yes I Have a rollup and every now and again when I would normally reach for a cigerette I put it in my mouth and just simulate to stimulate.... and its working so far, And I suppose I can afford to put on a little weight, But At my age now it all seems to go around the middle, Must be that middle aged spread I used to hear a lot about when I was younger..lol

hey, instead of keeping a "roolup", try to buy some "fake cigs" that actually blow out smoke. you can find them at a joke store, like spencers, and maby that will work. but who knows.... gj so far.

Yes lol good idea m8, But I bet they will say in a few years time that these joke one cause problems of some sort...lol

I often wonder how my GranParents lived to a right old age, With all the stuff they say is bad for you today how did and do people live longer? I think the stuff they are telling you not to eat and do are really good for you, And as in the future there will be more pensioners than there are youngsters I think its all a big conspirisy to make us die sooner.

Why would they want you to live longer, If they will not be able to keep us? Then again its a strange world we live in.lol

there was one guy I saw on Max X in south america that was 100 years old and smoked.

Thing is that is 1 dude out of millions. Maybe it just doesn't effect some people as bad as others.
