Hats off to the guys

This is just a post to say thanks to DFHQ for all their continuous hard work in supporting the DF community.

From my first ever sig, which was made by Stevie B (attached for posterity) through to the constant assistance in all things PHP and web-related by Panther. These guys do an incredible job and must have helped out thousands of DF players over the past years…

I mean, all the guys who run sites will probably tell you it’s not an easy task to keep things updated & running, even on a squad site……You imagine what it’s like to run DFHQ as efficiently as it is !
On top of that there’s all the associated squad sites & players that rely on them for hosting, assistance, admin, advice etc. Then there’s their own sites too
For all the updates, downloads, news, maps, interviews, support, tourneys, competitions of various descriptions, mods, skins, reviews, the list is endless

I recently asked Panther to set up our new map database on the Team friction site and even with all the other things going on & his business taking off he still found the time to write a script, load it up & have it running within a couple of days !

Half the map makers would struggle to do what they can today without the tutorials, tips & files available for download. A lot of players would struggle to overcome problems that have been solved in the support sections.

Half of the time they do all this with no thanks and what must seem like little appreciation at times.

But I know that out of the 5,464 people that have registered on these forums, if ANY 1 of them asks for assistance off either SB or P more often than not they’d both go out of their way to help out.

SO, ON BEHALF OF EVERYONE A BIG THANKS & KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

the only reason we do this is to help people out, no one gets any money and it costs Panther a fair bit to keep it going. a thanks makes it all worthwhile
