Re-install

Had to re-install BHD after having to Re-install Windows XP. Game worked ok both in single and multiplayer mode. But now on most multiplayer servers the background scenery is shimmering. Indoor scenes ok just the outside is jagged and unstable. Have loaded all the latest drivers again. As I said I didn't have problem before the OS install and single player is ok.

Any ideas anyone?

do you have a video card or a video chip on your MOB?

use windows update to get all the updates instill

I have a GeForce 6200 video card, 3.5 ghz CPU, 1.5gb ram latest updates Direct X9c. Whats frame network?

frame netwrok is an update for your OS, its some kind of file.I think its called Net Framework really.

Anyways if that dont work make sure you have latest Direct X like chief said and that your installing the latest drivers the correct way, which is unistalling the old drivers first, then install the new ones.

Also try using the default game settings if you changed any around since then!

Its the graphics drivers... roll back to 84.27 and you will be fine

84.27 is not on Nvidia web site only 84.26. Any idea where I can download this driver?

84.26 is the latest for his type im sure because mines a Geforce Go 6800 and that my larest according to Alienware.Whats your current version or driver ib1-2?

If you dont know just click Start > Run > Type dxdiag > Click Ok> Display > and its the last four digits.

Latest driver 96.89. But I have been trying older drivers as suggested but without much success.

Not for a Geforce Go 6800 Card i know isnt the latest due to Alienware keeps its members up to date with the latest everything!There latest for me is 84.26!

Mine is a 6200. But not for long, I've got a 7600GS coming. Hopefully it will improve things. I've gone for PCI rather than AGB, I'm not sure if it makes any difference.

Now have a 7600GS card and the multiplayer problem has disappeared. Graphics much smoother aswell.
