can't install deltaforce 1 in winxp

Hey guys I just wanted to play deltaforce again (last time was in the 90') but i can't make it work, I can't even get it installed? anyone know whats the problem? autorun runs but when i try to click install i get the "click" sound but nothing happens, same with trying with setup.exe. anyone?

try that to get it instill or go here "C:\WINDOWS\repair" copy and past in item config.nt and autoexec.nt into C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 over write them,

after restart system you should be able to instill the game. if not try to use attachment it info i use Microsoft tech support to help to get this two files.

by the way after it instill go into shortcut setting and change the [Compatibility] to windows 98/ME then click-on ok. it a old game and was not made to run on windows Xp.

what is up with the DF1 probz? i ran it with no compatibility options, no patches on XP and it runs just fine.

Windows Xp SP2 updates the system but it did not reset the settings back so one can instill older games. in some system's unlike my i did not have to reset them but other have to. it a glitch i think in the Service pack 2 Cd something did not workout 100% like it should so Microsoft put the word out about how to fix it if you get a error instilling older software in the system.

no all Windows Xp family computers get this type of error. but some have.

DF: Land warrior and DF: BlackHawk Down (Mod) Team Sabre are my all time favorites.

don't care much for DF: Xtreme or Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising, i have a 56K dailup no fun there.

BHD is a must-have, DF:X; ehh, rent it and see if you like it.
