Crap Speed NTL/Virgin Media

Anyone with them with this upgrade?

I have been on 10meg for a while now, they have just Upgraded to 20meg yet now I get worse than 1/2 meg.

before 20 meg upgrade!

sounds more like a down grade to me, maybe some one goofup your account and lower it instead upgrading it to 20meg

could be speedtest.net off set the setting so badly it lagging now. only thing i can think of or adware downloading as it was tesing it.

turn off all firewall there is and any updates disable then do the test again for the test only thats ways it wide open and no then is butting into the test

they hav a FUP now Sal

XL package - download/upload more than 3gb in total between 4-midnight , u will b capped at a 5mb for 3-5hours

Well I dont download or upload outside Second life and 2142 Battlefield so I dont think that is my problem.

I helped get Bulldog Broardband Investigated for failing to deliver what they advertised. and I sure aint paying £40 a month for a half meg connection.

I was happy with my 10 meg only the Pirates would want a faster home speed as the most important part of gaming is upload, I was getting TV Quality streaming video with 10meg.

Now I end up with something like going back to 56k.

I have checked the Server Status Line for the area and they have a problem with the one type of modem, they others are not effected, yet looking through the Server Status Web site they have had this problem since the start and the prats still keep going without fixing the problem first...

Sounds like Novalogic has taken over Virgin..lol

Yes I heard that on the news... Well I will not goto BT or Sky I have had real bad expierences with them in the past.

And one of the reasons I will not use DD no thats not DevilDog...lol again, They were taking money when they felt like it, It was me that felt like the bank...lol

But I will see if they sort this out if not then I guess I will phone them and say right Im off to sky! even though I will not be..lol at the moment they would hate to lose anyone to sky..

Well Now its looking a little better, still not 20meg but atleast its getting there.

ah ur the usual virgin media customer now lol, never happy with the speed :P even tho its 2x the speed of wot most ppl can get

Thats because we pay double the price with hidden charges through phone and cable tv...
