my computer...

is dying. my awesome pc of six years seems to be on its way out...

it started out like this: after a while of doing something "rough" on it, like playing a video game or something... these yellow vertical pixalated bars would appear on my screen. i only noticed it in windows (xp)

then something went horribly wrong when i tried to install a up-to-date graphics driver. the computer just crashed and the screen went black.

now when i start it up the post message looks all weird and granulated. so does everything. and whats really weird is the text as the comp is loading. all it is is random lines of ---- and {{{-------------{{{{{{{{{{[[[[[[[[[[ stuff like that.

i thought it was the cpu overheating.. i let it cool down and put new silicone on it (aftermarket heat sink already installed) and nothings changed.

is something shot? if its either the mobo or the cpu then i consider this thing dead...
