Plain DFX Editing tools ?

Hi there guys...
Nice forum NovaHQ has here.

I have a couple of question for all you mappers out there:
What are the tools I need for editing maps?
Is there anything I need other than NILE and MED?

Sorry if these questions are kinda lame,
DFX is the first NovaLogic game I've got and obviously I'm
not up-to-date as most of you, with regards to the editing scene of DFX.

Send a message via AIM to Rampage.
all you need is MED and NILE, tho there is some tools that are very useful that are out, I recommend getting http://www.novahq.net/?show=utilitie...et_file&id=332 so you don't have to actually go into the game to pick the terrain your going to use for your map

Yeah, Rampage is correct.

All you need to do to make maps is use the DFX MED (Delta Force: Xtreme Map Editor) You can install that right off of the disk when you install your game.

Another great tool brought to you by Silver Scorpions Squad is the Terrain Reference Tool. It allows you to see the terrains and enviroments before you make your map.

Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated.

That 'Terrain Reference Tool' is great,
definitely a must have tool, thanks for pointing me to its location.

Do you guys have a preference between NILE and MED when it comes
to the best one to use?
Also, is there an advantage using one over the other?

Thanks again guys for the help.

MED is the easiest to use. Don't even mess with NILE if this is your first Novalogic game. It will totally confuse you.

I've been using NILE to create a mission for the past few days,
I've gotten confused many times, especially with the Team settings,
so I'll take your advice.

Thanks, EDGE.
