installing and running custom maps

hello all.question for you,im running a server -q-killers and i have most everything figured out ,except how to get a custom map to work,ive ask help from anconda though a ticket ,but dont understand what to do ,wondering if any one can help ty outrider,kinda step by step direction if possible lol ty

Ummm, are you making the maps yourself or downloading them? I'm not sure if I'm right, but I believe you just extract the .bms file to your Black Hawk Down folder.

C:\NovaLogic\Delta Force Black Hawk Down

or wherever you installed BHD at.

no just dl them ,thats what i thought about where to put them but when i do a dl extract the file there in bhd folder ,but dont see map,should i be using winrar to extract files ,cause i used the program with xp to extract them ty outrider

the files shouldn't be in a folder under the BHD if it creates a folder then cut the contents out and put them in the main BHD folder then it should work.

after you down load a map unzip it into your game folder same place you find dfbhd.exe place it into that folder and thats it

game location: "C:\Program Files\NovaLogic\Delta Force Black Hawk Down (folder)

put all your maps into that folder thats it

then for you to host these maps go into your game hosting option or your 3rd party and select the maps you like to host. have fun

this is the part i think im messing up at,i dont see a hosting option on my server manager screen ,just a stop hosting button,do i need a ftp program to install maps on freaks server ty outrider

In order for the game to pick up the new maps you have to at least stop hosting (so click the stop hosting button).

Go to the maps section and Click Reload List, then in the list check the box next to the new maps.

Click Update to send the changes to the server, then click Start Hosting.



I have never used a rental bhd server so I'm not sure how they have you upload the maps... if it is by ftp then yes, you will need an ftp client
