Too bad. What a great opportunity to overeat and sit around doing nothing.

Just curious, Thanksgiving is mainly an American Holiday. But please Stomp, how is the holiday recognized downunder? I've understood how holidays mean different things to everyone and just always wondered what others thought of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Ours means a rememberance of finding of a new home in a new land and thankfulness to GOD for a bountiful Harvest (and blessings) and new (and old) friendships.

Please forgive my lack of knowledge.

We don't have the equivalent of a thankgiving, however census data and other studies put atheist (using that to encompassing humanism et al.) numbers at anywhere between 25 and 30%, on the flipside with fewer percentage attending religious services regularky, and the numbers become more polarizing looking at people under 40 so it wouldn't have as much a religious significance as it would in the US...

Halloween isn't Australian either Dave but you guys are popular here and all the kids love it.
Us big kids like the idea of Thanks Giving so we are giving it a go...
In Aus? Any excuse for celebrating with friends is good..

Lol, I thought Halloween was celebrated throughout everyone on the planet ... You know ... ancient Druids, celebration of the dead, and eating candy !!!

As far as Thanksgiving, Rock on. We should all be thankfull.

Party on my friend !!!

We celebrate All saints day but not halloween, it is starting to get a bit attention from kids, because of the extra candy obviously but not much more then that.
