Mouse Lag?

I just got a new computer, and installed DFBHD: TS and at the main menu (where it says singleplay multiplayer, yadayadayada), the mouse for some reason lags. Does anyone have a clue as to what the problem is? Maybe low RAM? If you have any clues as to what the problem might be please post, its very annoying to overshoot where I want to click .

seem to remmeber this comming up a few times (and with various DF games), but i cant recall a solution :/

do u have a spare mouse somewhere u can try out? at least u could eliminate that.

does the mouse work ok in game?
is the game updated?
try putting all gfx options on low just to see if it makes a difference.
how much ram do u have?

Right now I'm using a USB optical mouse... I tried to use 2 other standard ball mice and neither helped, so its out of my league. I had some windows updates finally install my windows firewall, and I unblocked BHD and it seemed to help a little...

I'm running on integrated graphics (until friday), AMD Athalon XP 3000+ (socket A), 512 RAM, VIA KM266 Pro chipset, and a low end MSI mother board (only has a 4x AGP slot)... I forget the name, got it in a barebones kit.

ooo might be worth waiting until friday to see how it runs, TS really is not that easy on your system so it might be the issue. but let us know how it goes.

If you have a USB > PS2 adaptor try using the mouse with the old PS2 socket.

I Think I Know

I Think I Know

On DFX Demo when the resolutions were higher the mouse was more laggy.
Lower the resolution even if the settings are set to optimum defaults.
