BHD Woes!

Here goes,
Whenever I login to Novaworld I can play stat or public games but when the game ends I get kicked off to a blank screen(think it's the lobby with nothing on it) and cannot get back in. So I restart BHD log back in rejoin a game and get kicked off to a blank screen in about a minute or so.This started happening July 5th as I played for 3 hours on July 3rd with no problem. My game is version 1.2.1.1 I use Zone Alarm and a Linksys router which should be configured correctly as I've never had this problem before.My computer has a 3Gig cpu 1Gig Mem. ATI 8500 LE vid card internet connection is cable (Roadrunner) Win2000 Pro. so I don't feel it's at my end. Nova update(ie screw up) their server over the weekend? Anyone here have solution to my Problem?

what resolution you running in game?

if its the 1024 then there is your problem

Thanks man! Yes I do have my resolution set at 1024x768.I'll change it back to 800x600 and see what it does. Thanks again.

1024 is giving problems? I have mine set to 1024x786 and haven't had a problem. YET.... Maybe I should change it.

the jerk, you mentioned this in another thread too. could you please explain why 1024 should cause all that problems?

I think it refers to when you Desktop is at 800 x 600, if you have game a desktop the same it should be ok.

what im referring to is a common problem.

not everyone will have it obviously.

i have it on both my computers

i dont know why but some people cant run 1024 setting

the other three settings seem to be fine

also you are supposed to run different res in game than that of the desktop.

also have you ever got to the server names and been punted clear out of the game?

Sorry to take so long to reply, but I am still having problems getting kicked off servers,Novas or public ones. I may get to play 2 or 3 full games then I get booted. Sometimes at the end of a game BHD will shut down comepletely and I restart only to get kicked off in a few seconds.This is really starting to get my nerves.Nova sold me a $39 coaster it seems

Hi all, ive just bought BHD, ive had major probs so far, the 1st 1 is i cant play single player AT all, all i get is sysdumps, when i play on novaworld, some servers r ok 4 me, but some others i get major screen lag, i have rienstalled BHD about 3 times without any luck, ive updated my graphics card, got the latest direct x, and got the lastest update 4 BHD ,ive tried everything.
Im sure it cant b my graphics card as its a new 1. here is my pc details, any advice will b welcome.

PC-- 1900+ athlon xp
DDR 512
Raodon 9000pro 64mb graphics card
1mb cable connecton
Win 98se

NM i found a patch that goes with my graphics card update, it runs a dream now, cya all on the field

What did the update do? Was it a general update, or did it refer to a specific problem? Im thinking of buying that card. Where did ya get the patch/update from?

Well i updated my card 3 months ago, but they just released a new 1 out, because there were problems with some games, as u know BHD takes a lot of power 2 run, so i went here
http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html installed it, now my card works fine, i can play single player no probs now, and every server i go on there is no screen lag, i can also play the game with all the BHD settings set 2 high

In terms of game versus desktop resolution you shouldnt have a problem running each thing in different resolutions.

I run my desktop at 1162 x 864 (or something like that).
BF1942 goes at a paltry 800 x 600
BHD at 1024 x 768

The only problem I have ever heard of is that some PCs wont let you alt+tab out of a game if the desktop and game resolution are the SAME. But that has never cause me any problems.

To they guy getting sysdumps. Try a clean uninstall of BHD and then install it again making sure absolutley everything is turned OFF. Any app at all. Especially antivirus or system protectors.

this would be a firewall problem i guess perhaps it s settings can go lead their own lives.why dont you try remove zonealarm and use firewall of the router.a blank screen you get when you domtt have a connection.also try reset your router when you get booted. i hope this solves problem.i have my settings at 1024x1260 works fine.zonealarm however kick it off and see if it works.perhaps the server sends you stats that zonealarm wont accept
