What was your first car/truck/van/suv?

in 1990 I worked all Summer at Mid America Distribution Company in Memphis, TN. I saved up $500 and bought a 1969 American Motors 4 door blue Rambler. I purchased it from my girl friends mothers boyfriend. I loved that car and was proud of her... .-troj

1970 Chevorlet C-10 step-side PU...three on the tree and a 250 6-cylinder under the hood. I bought it at an auction from the State Hospital...going price was $300.00. I put a water pump, 4 tires and a radiator in it and drove it 175,000 miles. It was the best buy in my lifetime...I couldn't drive a cheaper rig even if you gave it to me. Insurance wasn't mandatory then . It was 1986 when I left the driveway with my hardships liscense. I was some kind of happy! I sold the truck 4 years later for ...$300.00... Currently I drive a Dodge Ram PU..paid $15,000 and added a $1000.00 worth of chrome. I put about $75.00 a week in fuel. $79 month insurance (full coverage) and a bank note (thanks to my divorce) to refinance my toys...(boat, truck, trailer ) of nearly $400.00 a month...too bad I am too busy working to pay for them to actually use them.

My first car was an Austin Mini and it only cost me £200.00 to put it on the road including tax and insurance. It was a superb little car and I have very fond memories of driving it all over England!!!!

Oh they are bro, nice and easy to drive and work on when you have any problems which is rarely, sadly they are no longer owned by a British company and the new one's are much bigger.

BMW's are waaaaay nice but too pricey for me.

I'd be too nervous about wrecking it.

Rather go with a nice inexpensive car.
