D-Day footage

just saw this, and its interesting to actually see the footage from the actual event

click here 2 watch

it shows them planning, gathering together, moving towards the beaches and then going onto them

scary stuff..

You sure gain a new appreciation for what they did. I honestly think that other countries take this for granted. Ones that were not even involved in the War. If you think about it, if Russia, the USA and UK or Austrailia fell... there'd be no stopping them.

My family members took part in 1 and 2 so I know ... They all made it back in one piece ... Except for the usual nightmares ...

holy crap... I never realized how many Russians died. It took 5 million Nazi deaths to stop them...that is freaky.

russia had some of the biggest battles in the war thus the higher casualties, Battle of Moscow, Battle of Stalingrad etc

These horrendous figures reflect the stupidity of humankind, all those lives lost is far to high a price to pay so we must find a way eventually to resolving our differences by means other than warfare.

2 bad the chances of that happening is what 1 in a million? there was an article on a newspaper of some countries budget on the military and then AID for poorer countries..

they spent about 40+billion a year on weapons and arms and then 67million on AID..
