That's cool, but we can't destroy what we can't see... meaning that we currently only partol less then 5% of the sky, so in 5 mins we could potentially be struct by an earth bound object (A LARGE ONE ANYWAYS... small debris hits the earth all the time) :O

well we are small, and theres billions of other debris floating around out there, were bound to get struck by a big one sooner or later
hope it works
and i remember seeing something that an asteroid will hit us like in 40 years, 2042, i remember seeing something

yeah exactly,
FACT:- if a comet has open spaces inside and like a sponge, it whould absorb the impact, if its solid rock it should blow up,

but - u can use the suns light to push away the comet if u get a big mirror type object

listen guys, they arent going to "BLOW IT UP" theyre gonna direct it away from earth, if u would care to watch the video theyre gonna make a crater in the side as big as a football pitch, but when they do, its gona be like a lorry hitting a gnat, so it directs it somewhere else

storms right, unless there is some maker faulting in the asteroid, an explosion that leaves a footy oval sized explosion wont destroy it, remembering that asteroids are mostly Iron-Nickel magnesium silicates....

If theres a **** load of magnesium in th asteriod it maight make for one hell of a show.
