IMO MGs are pretty useless in this game (at least in games with less than 20 players).
they're inaccurate and the "advantage" of not having to reload as often doesn't really count, because you get plenty of time/opportunities to reload your gun.

and of course MGs lack the M203, and the AT4 doesn't help much

i prefer the M16 (and i usually make >50% headshots, try that with an MG )

i like the m60 but i agree the m16 is an amazing weapon that gets a lot of head shots

You still haven't got the game yet? Hurry up I want to shoot you. M60 owns in TFD but I don't like any of the machine guns in BHD. I just can't get use to them. I have been sniping more then anything.

m16 might have good sights but its firing modes suck! i cant use 3 round burst or semi, full auto fo me

burst sucks, but singleshot is great! and with a twitchy triggerfinger you can easily shoot with the same firing rate as an m60
and if you need more than 5-8 shots to kill someone you should try something else anyway (a nade for example)

what i'm trying to say is that i dont see the need for full-auto


on the other side i have to admit that i get killed often with machineguns

I don't really like machine guns for alot of reasons for one they suck at aimming and they make you walk slower speically with saw and i lose playing with them everytime.. Sniper vs a cqb most likely if you have a saw or a machine gun the sniper will win.. as a cqb/gunner I play with the car 15/203 because it has good accuracy and + it has Auto/semi/grenade so if there is a sniper you can either shoot him down or launch a grenade from your gun. with a machine gun you have no chance...

never liked LW near as much as df2 and tfd is worse

I always prefered the good old saw myself but I think the CAR15 is the best weapon in the game!

m240 is the best heavy machine gun in my opinion. Not accurate though, and I generally use the CAR 15.
