Minus .5 z value, how?

Yeah, it's me again, hi. I'm having trouble with z values now, Do'h! I had a look at several excellent tutorials elsewhere on the site but can't find anything to help me out. I want to drop some crates just a fraction because I'm putting them on some uneven terrain and I can see under them (which I think looks really naff). Now I know about the two z value boxes ( 1st one being metres & 2nd one parts of metre) and that the second (fractions) box won't take a - so how do I drop something (my crates) by, say -10cm???? I tried putting -0 in the first box but it changes it back to 0. Any pointers folks?

u have to do [-1,100]

ie drop it by 1 then add the smaller value

remember that when u go into the minus it counts backwards...ex the -1,200 would lower something by only 0, 55. cause 0, 255 it max so if u wanted just lower of 0, 30 it would be -1, 225

Thanks guys, I'll have a go at that, sounds a little complicated to me though. Just occurred to me tho' that I could adjust the absolute height to get the same effect?? I'm just going to have a fiddle about Cheers for your comments

absolute height will work great.
u can switch between the 2 to see how one affects the other

Yeah it sure does, cool. Easy when you know how huh? I have to say though, it's only when you have a go at creating a map that you realise just how much work it takes to make one. I can REALLY appreciate other folks' maps and how much effort they put into it, everyone should have a go.
