Plain DFX:Med problem

Hello,
I just got DFX and DFX2 a couple days ago and was wondering how to solve this problem:
I have a chinook. 2 pilots get in. I have 2 trucks. About 13 people get in, 7 in one, 6 in the other. The trucks drive into the chinook. The chinook takes off.

The hard part is, the chinook goes up about 10 feet and then starts going really, really slow upwards.

The waypoint is about 300 ft of the ground of the level @ an approx. absolute height of 328 ft.

I have worked in BHD's med so I know my way around the med, sort of.

How do I fix this?

You want the trucks to wait on the Chinooks reaching their (300 ft of the ground) waypoint before the trucks start moving?



Use delays so that the crews can start up the vehicles.

Or ...

You could increase the combat/patrol speed of the Chinook.

Or ...

Create an event that says when the chinook reaches a set distance from the waypoint, then start the trucks moving.

Or all three.

Thanks, I'll try the 2nd one. The chinook has the trucks parked in it, they drive in while the chinook is reaching flight-idle to take off to the 300 ft waypiont.

Ah, I found out that the AI cannot climb straight up like we can in the game. So your waypoint cannot be over the helicopter it has to be at a diagonal angle to allow the AI to reach the altitude in a desirable time.

SEARCHING FOR THE NEXT WAYPOINT, MORE WAYPOINTS EQUAL SMOOTHER FLYING

The waypoint is about 300 ft of the ground of the level @ an approx. absolute height of 328 ft.
I ALWAYS HAVE 5-6 WAYPOINTS LIKE STEPS ABOUT 5M OR YARDS APART, SPACED 30-50M YDS APART, FOR TAKE OFF AND LANDING

I have worked in BHD's med so I know my way around the med, sort of.
DON'T EVER TRUST DFX2 THERES A LOT OF SCREW UPS IN IT
SEARCH FOR POSTS ON DFX2 ON THIS SITE

That helped, because I saw playing the game, a chinnook take off upwards and I was wondering how the did it, because I couldn't.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ speaking of which, does anyone know a pff opener for dfx[2], I learn a lot by looking a Nova's built in maps

Hey, has anyone messed around with sam launchers? Because I want to know how nova did the missile effect in operation barricade (dfx 2), and sadly, the bms to mis crashes on trying to convert it.
