How to install a downloaded mission

I'm a newbie for this game. How do I install and activate a downloaded mission (map ?).
What is a difference between Map and Mission.
I've copied some maps into game folder but I don't see them as a single player quick mission.
Where I'm wrong.

all you have to do put it into your game folder
C:\Program Files\NovaLogic\Delta Force Task Force Dagger same place you find dftfd.exe after you put it into the folder startup the game and look it up. and have fun guy

as for:
Name.bms-file: they are maps only can not normally be edited, host/play only.

Name.mis-file: is a mission file they can be edited by using map editor of some type say you like to change it by add in a fog & color or any other items, some map makers do give out this mis-file not many.

by using the dftfdmed.exe (stander one virsion) or dftfdmedv193a (unlock virsion more items to use) you can make up maps or edited maps in the .mis format.

9-10 they may been setup as co-op maps you got there if so they will not showup in Spec/mission (SP). if this is the case i only say change it to mis type file then uncheck the box co-op option now you see it in the line up spec/mission with the rest.

Be fair to them map maker's out there. never say you made a map that some other map maker made, this only make you look bad. you may update them but clamed it as yours this is in bad taste with them who work so hard on them.

Unfortunately, even converted them to .mis files, still I don't see them under Quick Missions. Where I'm wrong again.

If you have the BMStoMIS converter ,and convert the map to a MIS ,you can open it up in the Med and go to the EDIT tab then go to General Information,if any of the boxes are checked in the lower left corner IEeathmatch , King of the Hill , ETC, then it is set for multiplayer, all the boxes must be unchecked to be used or seen in single player ! Hope that helps!!

Unfortunately, this didn't helped me, since under General I don't have any checked or other boxes in the lower left side.
Finally I gave up and order a commercial add on: the Black Hawk Down - Team Sabre and expect to have it shortly.

i got that map. helo.mis.bms? it was only a BMS file why would you put mis in the name for? that dose no good. on top of that i change it to MIS file and seen it was terranova type terrain and not listed as co-op at all? anyway i send 2 files back to you one helo.bms and a helo.mis file in the reply e-mail to you.

ROFLMFAO by add a mis to a BMS file think it will work both way is not right way to do it there is two type's of files 1-.bms 1-.mis the .mis is for editing with and the .bms file is for exporting map out to other.
