I recently came across this guy's blog, and im currently reading the Gestalt Principles. I must say, im opening my eyes to some very simple but effective ideas, so if you're into graphic design, i suggest you read some of these articles:

I've read some of his articles before. A lot of them are featured in smashing magazine. Some pretty good stuff and very helpful to new designers.
