NOVALOGIC Has put up a couple of servers running the Pre-Abortion version of JO.

With the sniper scope, Rifleman AT4 and all the goodies you guys loved.

You can unistall JOTR and then reistall JOTR and install the old patch and yes it does ask you to update but you don't have to and it then works ok.

And you will be back where we were before all the "improvements".

P.S. pass the word around we need as many as possible to get the old Patch up and running again.

I just installed it on a diff directory and applied the patch to that...so now I have both versions running on my PC.

Works Like a charm.

i cant b bothered reinstalling it ect.. just gonna play the new patch cos u miss out on alot of sweet stuff (3rd person driving ect) with is really handy... and the different driving physics and also the way ur carn catches fire ... lol

I can't be bothered either.

Why reinstall a game which is still full of bugs?

The scope zoom will only effect noob snipers who blast away with a Barret at targets only 300m away. Any half decent sniper can still cause havoc.
Actually I think more snipers will shoot from longer distances, making them harder to find and kill. No doubt this will cause more whining about snipers.

Removing the flares action for pilots is a good idea, might get more people working together.

Removing the rpg's from the rifleman is a bit stupid.
If they want riflemen to blow up apc's with the satchel charges why enable 3rd person view for drivers?
It just makes it easier for drivers to spot people sneaking up to them.

My biggest moan at nova is about the lack of detailed information about the updates, what the new features do, why changes have been made and how the changes are supposed to help.

i said that in the first place, and the handbrake ? no idea, i just thought it was the noirmal brake

Handbrake works by driving at a decent rate of knots, then turning the wheel sharply & pressing "E"........BUT it seems to be more of a gimmick tan anything because it's just as easy to get out of the vehicle without using it, I can't see any REAL point to it tbh, but it is a bit of a laugh for a while, driving round like a loon
