Are you using XP?
If so try uninstalling and reinstalling DF after making sure you have latest drivers for all your hardware. Then set DF to run in win98 mode by right clicking the icon you use to start it and clicking the compatibility tab. I get shut down and sysdump on occasion whilst I am switching between menus within DFLW but I have only ever had this since upgrading to XP. Im quite lucky in that it never does it in-game but I have spent a fair bit of time getting the system I am running it on just right. |

if it's all of them, then the problem is with your dflw. usually things like claymores placed in the map by the map maker will cause a sys dump as the map is loading or during play. have u tried to make maps urself and tested them?

ok cool. it usuaally has something to do with the map, like a claymore as i sad, but if ur having problems with every map it must be the dflw files. weird problem, but hopefully fixable

and I still get this message...:-((
The problem mentioned above I have too....
I have installed the game right out of the box, so no extra maps or something other exotic stuff. When I start it, every goes normal until I get the part with the world on it (the last screen before the game really starts). Then there it is: "sysdump.txt saved" My system is a P3 800 mHz, 256mb RAM, Geforce 256 32mb and DirectX7, running under W98SE. The demogames on the cd work fine and any other program or game I install work ok, so I don't think it is something with the hardware.....I've tried it on a P4 and that went well. But I'm not going to get me a P4 just for this game, you understand that ;-) I've send the file to Novalogic, and they came up with a problem with the systemresources being low. So I made sure that there was something of 90% of resources available, but noway......This was the message from the error: Context dump of Delta Force Land Warrior, (V1.00.31) on 6/6/2002 This program has caused an access violation exception at 004e8277h Attempting to read from ffffffffh EAX: 00000000h EBX:000000feh ECX: 000009ech EDX:000027b0h ESI: 00633aa0h EDI:00000000h EBP: 0195fb04h ESP:0195fa38h EIP: 004e8277h EFlags:00010202h SegCS: 00000167h SegSs: 0000016fh Code bytes before EIP: 06 00 00 7d 24 8b 0d 94 2b 60 00 85 c9 75 1a 8b 10 6a 00 8d 4c 24 14 51 68 20 18 00 00 50 ff 52 0c 8b 0d 9c 2b 60 00 eb 1a 8b 10 6a 00 8d 4c 24 14 51 68 20 28 00 00 50 ff 52 0c 33 c9 89 0d 9c 2b 60 00 85 c0 0f 8c 9c 00 00 00 8b 44 24 10 8d 14 89 89 0d 6c 2a 60 00 56 8b 74 24 10 57 8d 0c 9b c1 e1 03 8d 3c d0 8b d1 c1 e9 02 c7 05 d0 11 60 00 01 00 00 00 c7 05 94 2b 60 00 00 00 00 00 Code bytes at EIP: f3 a5 8b ca 83 e1 03 f3 a4 a1 d0 11 60 00 85 c0 5f 5e 74 21 a1 6c bb 60 00 8b 08 50 ff 51 10 01 1d 9c 2b 60 00 89 1d a4 c6 60 00 c7 05 d0 11 60 00 00 00 00 00 8b 4c 24 18 a1 e4 ba 60 00 8b 10 6a 00 51 8b 4c 24 1c 51 8b 0d 6c 2a 60 00 53 51 8b 0d 6c bb 60 00 51 8b 4c 24 20 51 50 ff 92 80 00 00 00 33 c0 5b c3 a1 cc 2b 60 00 85 c0 75 05 e8 34 fb ff ff 8b 4c 24 18 a1 e4 ba 60 00 8b 10 Stack: 00000000 00000080 00a02a94 004cf663 00000004 00633aa0 00000000 00632300 000002be 0264cfc4 00000000 ff7f7f7f 03c8b794 004cf9dd 00a02b0c 0195fab8 004904ef 00a02a94 03c8b794 012d41a0 00f1b858 00000034 018e386a 01969cc2 001c70ed 00019b98 fffd3da6 00000000 00000000 ff37373a 00000000 00000000 ffe47944 ffc63bdf 00a02a90 00000337 0195ad54 ffff7db7 00008110 0000019d 00000277 03c8b794 0000135c 00000001 00dba22c 00000001 03c8b794 000001a7 00000000 00000ef6 ff000000 00000000 004a1679 03c8aaf0 00000000 00000034 00ffffff 012d41a0 00f4f22c 00000007 00000000 00009095 0000d24b 0002bf56 I,ve updated the game already, but that didn't do much except raising my phonebill....now it is the old version again because I reinstalled the game once or twice.... I hope somebody has the answer or I will have a new coaster for my table Thanx in advantage for reading this message!! |

Hi Lord,
Thanks for your help, but I think your solution is for online gaming.....and that's not what I'm doing (certainly not with a dial-in connection.....). I have this problem while playing single...... Anyway, thanks for the time and effort!!! Bye |
