Money! you cant have anything without money! if panther or whoever had no money this would not exist! there would be no PC no DSL No house no nothing Money rules

however money does no good without life.....

life without money stinks.. money without life stinks..

So i guess both. but both still stinks if you dont have allot of money...

A system of bartering isn't exactly practical in our society (for the most part...I still barter). The reason we have money is because objects do not have any certain value. They have what is called imputed value. For instance, you may value Half-Life 2 more than you value Land Warrior. On the other hand, I value LW more than H-L2. So in your case, you wouldn't trade your copy of H-L2 to me for LW, and vice-versa. So if that's all we have to trade with, I'd say we're screwed. However, if you have a copy of LW, and I a copy of H-L2, we will gladly trade with each other because, to ourselves, we are gaining something.

Because of this imputed value, we need a standard unit to trade with, and that's where money comes in. It's essentially the same thing. You value H-L2 more than the $40 to buy it with, so you trade with Wal-Mart.

what would you guys do if there was major worldwide disaster, Say a meteor impact that wiped out most of civilization, And some of you were left alive.
Would you just give up and say oh well money is worthless now I cant survive oh well lets lay down and wither away?

But then again I suppose its in everyone thinking that things are taken for granted in todays world, But what if somthing like that happend, How would you adapt, What would you do for food, What would you do to keep warm, OK You could look forward to re-populating the world but where would you get the enegy to do so, There would be no going to the shop to buy your food, clothes no light in the night.

I hope this thread gets people thinking, hmm I never thought of that, What would I do?

Just another strange post by me...lol

Panther thanks LMFAO

one has to have some one special some one to keep you happy and day after day you will have a bad day and good days.

i am guy who love women to the max, not into guy not my cup of tea at all. to me a girl can get my spirit up high and even if i lose my job she's there to cheer me on to find work. life would have to be top of the list then money only only help you go on-long with life no then more.

there is a bad side to money you can draw so-call buddies who really don't care about you at all, as long as they get free meal/party ticket from you, not same for some one who care to be there with you in the bad & good times for life.

good way to test this out to see who there for you 100% save the money don't do anything at all for 6mo. if they still hang out with you......you know who there for you then 100% and Don't tell them what you doing ether.

Money; most like getting free beer/drinks/drugs/party's for so-call buddies i call them leeches when the money run out they treat you like dirt and look for other to leech on to.

it when you know if there are real buddies are and a love one out there. you can always get money but get a true buddy or a love one is all what its mean to be alive in this world we all live in.

Partys days don't last a long time sooner or later it dies off, then were you be without a love one who cares for you. its all about life and how you live it.

I guess we'd have to adapt Sal. We probably would go back to a system of bartering, simply because jobs like mine (computer specialist) would be un-needed, and not have any worth. But for the moment, it's in demand

If I chose money over life, I suppose that would make me a very rich dead man yes?
I can see the point of this question but it's badly asked.
I have spent the last 10 years of my life dedicated to the care of other people. As a nurse I get barley enough money to live beyond what is neccessary to survive and have the odd treat.
I work shifts, my social life is dictated by that and I cannot afford to go out with friends that work 9-5 and have weekends off as a general rule.

I would like not to be dead for sure. But I am changing my life from 2005 onwards. I am leaving nursing, travelling and then taking a career that sends me onto the path to make cash for the effort I put in.
All my family are high earners and I am going to earn more than them.
I want cash so that I have total freedom to dictate the path of my life.
I want to meet people and say sure, I'm available to do whatever whenever.
I want to be able to offer my kids opportunities that their friends don't have to enrich their lives through freedom to experience.
Show me the money.
You can stick, being happy with what you have got, up your arse. I have done that for years and it sucks big time.

Time for a little bit of 'me'-time from now on.
Aston Martin DB9 Volante anyone???

Me please.

I choose Life, you dont need money to live, you can build food, milk cows etc.

money is good for usefull stuff asa computer etc, but were do i work for? I also have crappy social life because im away from home 5 days a week. And sometimes 3 weeks due to field exercises. I chose that myself, but the boss wont let me go to a nearer base.

And i wont quit the job because my boss pays for my educations, which are usefull for earning more money later on.

I think Life and money are so interweaven these days that most people wouldnt know what to do when money was abandoned 1 day.
Its almost impossible to live without money these days if you want a good home etc.
